“That’s what I have now. I have the freedom… Back then I was putting one foot in front of the other, just doing whatever I thought was right. It had nothing to do with what made my heart sing. You know, I ask clients what makes their heart sing and they just look at me. And I know we need to do a little bit of work.”

This week’s episode is special because I was able to sit down with the fierce and tenacious Gina Best. You know, one issue I see a lot as I go throughout my day is the acceptance of mediocrity. So many people on my timeline have become blinded to their own complacency and by doing so they have ultimately lost track of their potential for more. Gina Best is definitely not one of those people. In fact, her coaching concept is to throw “fine” out the window and aspire for so much more. Why be fine when you can be great, right?
Gina is a fantastic person to have on this show because she is the epitome of succeeding against the odds. She has been through many devastating and heart wrenching hardships in her life, including losing her brother and being diagnosed with cancer. Just one of these occurrences is enough to knock anyone to their knees and keep them down. Luckily for us, however, Gina Best is not just anyone. She is a strong and empowered woman who has taken all the harshness life has offered her and has used it to propel herself into gratitude.
In a perfect world, we would all tackle mediocrity or hardship like Gina does. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world. That being said, we can still try and soak up some of her insights and tips to try and push ourselves out of being “fine” and into being magnificent.
In this interview, Gina Best discusses:
