“I vowed to myself that if I ever stepped into a leadership position again,
I’d step into my power at the same time. And I did.”

There is a growing understanding that the energy we surround ourself with, whether it be from our peers or ourself, plays a large role in how way of thinking. For example, when we crowd our thoughts with If continuous memories of all the times we did not succeed, we are hindering future moments that could bring success. My guest Regina Huber, knows all about the importance of our thoughts and energy, as she explained to me in this week’s podcast episode.
One thing that distinguishes Regina from the crowd is her spin on the now infamous “power pose” brought to light by Amy Cuddy’s Ted Talk, Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are”. Regina took this idea and expanded on it with something she calls a “power dance”.

What this addition means is pretty much as it seems:instead of just a pose, one should add broad movements and energetic music in order to fully embrace and enhance the effects. Although the effects of the original power pose are debated, Regina continues to hold wide success with her mindset focused and body conscious sessions, with a recent
write-up in Forbes on top of it all.

Regina brought up lot of interesting ideas during our interview together. A lot of women, whether recent corporate employees turned entrepreneurs or long time small business owners, should take the time to hear it. You will learn just a few key techniques to transform yourself into the powerful leader you have the potential to be.

In this episode, Regina Huber discusses:
  • What the “Powerful Leadership Transformation System” is.
  • How entrepreneurs can use her second element, distinctive uniqueness, to stand out in a crowded market.
  • The benefits of having moved 38 times  in 35 years.
  • How she embraced the challenges with moving so often rather than folding in on herself
  • What painful experience brought her to New York and how she learned from it.
  • Her book: “ Speak Up, Stand Out and Shine: Speak Powerfully in Any Situation”
  • A personal favourite tip from her book that she believes everyone should know.
  • Her version of a power pose that was written about in a Forbes article.
